Connecting as a Participant
These instructions are for connecting to a Flexweb netmeeting as a
participant. If you are presenting, see below. The video is handled online
via the web seminar software DimDim. Audio will be supplied using Skype. You have to have microfone and speakers connected to your computer.
Requirements: DimDim Web Meeting requires Adobe Flash Player ver.8 or later (http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash) and DimDim Publisher plugin. To install the DimDim Publisher, click on “Join Meeting” and then on the yellow colored bar in the browser (at the top) and install the ActiveX browser plugin. Restart browser.
If you use Apple Macintosh computer you have to connect using Firefox browser. To make PowerPoint view fit in the browser window you can use zoom function in Internet Explorer Page->Zoom->Zoom Out/In or by pressing combination Ctl+- or Ctr++. To use the zoom function in Mozilla FireFox you have to download Add-on from FireFox webpages (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1499). To control the view size in FireFox use Alt+- or Alt++. Connecting as a Host
Waiting Area: Disable Network: lan (or cable/dsl) Length: set length of connection to the server in hours and minutes (set at least 3 hours) Audio Video: set “audio only” or if you have camera set “audio-video” Attendee Mikes: 6 Return URL: set web page address you want attendees see after they log out of meeting.
We recommend using several snapshots instead of movie in your presentation due to the slow transfer rate of movie frames via network. |
