Flexweb

This page contains links to the various software applications hosted by Flexweb. Most of the software is available for download by academic groups as both executable-only and full source code distributions. Commercial licenses are also available. We also provide a web interface to most of the software that will allow you to run the programs on our server. Your results will be stored on our server, and you may download the results files to your computer at any time. In most case we provide a graphical representation of the data as well. Access to the software requires that you register with Flexweb. If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to register.

The primary software hosted by Flexweb is FIRST (Floppy Inclusions and Rigid Substructure Topography), which now contains a new module, named FRODA (Framework Rigidity Optimized Dynamics Algorithm). Now it is possible to determine the flexibility in a structure AND explore the conformational space accessible to flexible regions.

March 26, 2010 New FRODAN sofware is available to run online or download . The main advantages are:
• More realistic modeling of molecular flexibility;
• Faster performance;
• Better space sampling;
• Ability to simulate any type of biological molecules including RNA/DNA;
• Usage of backbone and side chain constrains which overall better preserves stereochemistry of the molecules;
• "Momentum" run option which allows fast exploration of large amplitude of motion.
